Counselling Psychologist in Training MBPSs MSc BA Hons

Starting therapy can be daunting. Life can throw many challenges at us and choosing to explore these issues requires courage and a supportive space. My non-judgmental approach places you as the expert in your experiences, and we work together to establish how you can take steps towards a meaningful life. It’s never too early to ask for help; your mental health deserves professional support just like your physical health.

I have been part of the TRC team since 2012. I have also worked in NHS and charity settings, including as a high intensity therapist in an IAPT Time to Talk service and a specialist trauma clinic. I have completed my Masters in Psychology (distinction), my certificate in Psychotherapy and Psychology and am in the final year of my doctoral training in Counselling Psychology.

I draw upon evidence-based treatments within the cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) framework, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion focused therapy (CFT) and trauma-focused CBT as well as existential-phenomenology and psychodynamic models.

Drawing on a variety of approaches that understand psychological distress in different ways allows me to work collaboratively with clients to provide tailored and creative solutions. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship and I aim to create a compassionate, respectful space in which you feel able to share your experiences.
