Andrea Clares

Nutritional Therapist
ANutr MSc

I am a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) and Intuitive Eating Counsellor specialising in eating disorders and disordered eating. I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Nutrition and subsequently completed an MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition at University College London in 2020 while also working as an intern at a specialist eating disorders clinic. I then transitioned from my intern role to working privately one on one supporting clients in their recovery and I am currently working in several leading eating disorder clinics in London. To complement the work I do I have also undertaken additional training in intuitive eating, body image work and cognitive behavioural therapy enhanced (CBT-E).

I am passionate about empowering my clients with the fundamental skillset to reclaim their freedom around food and ultimately heal their relationship with food, exercise and their bodies. I firmly believe that nutrition is not the be-all and end-all of health and instead I take a holistic approach whereby I consider other aspects of people’s lives, these being mental health, support systems and self-care into my work with clients. In my sessions, I strive to promote a safe and comfortable environment and embrace an evidence-based, non-judgmental and individualised approach to nutrition and health counselling.

I feel so honoured to be able to support the strongest and most amazing clients every day while being part of such a compassionate and inspiring team of clinicians at TRC.
