FAQs
If your child is showing signs of emotional distress, behavioural changes, withdrawal or difficulty coping with daily life, it may be time to seek professional support. TRC’s team can help assess whether therapeutic intervention is needed.
You can refer your child by contacting TRC directly through our website or by phone. Our team will guide you through the process and discuss the next steps.
The Initial Consultation is a thorough assessment where we take the time to understand your child’s presenting issues and any difficulties they are experiencing. This is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, and your child is welcome to join the consultation. We will discuss their background and current challenges, either in person at one of our TRC clinics or via Zoom. This consultation helps us determine the most appropriate course of treatment and identify which TRC clinicians would best support your child’s needs.
At TRC, confidentially is a top priority. Depending on the client’s age, assessment and treatment programme, we involve the family to provide the best support for the client’s therapeutic process. Parents and guardians also have the option to schedule ‘Parent Support Sessions’ for additional guidance in helping their child.
Experts in family-centred mental health, offering tailored care for children, adolescents and young people.
TRC Roadmap
1
Clients may be referred to TRC by their GP, schools, or through word-of-mouth referrals. A complimentary Initial Assessment is conducted with a director or manager to understand the client’s needs and develop an individualised treatment plan.
2
A full assessment and diagnosis will be provided by a TRC psychiatrist (if required). Clients participate in weekly therapy sessions led by experienced TRC therapists. For clients requiring intensive treatment, TRC offers day care programmes, especially beneficial for those with eating disorders.
3
Client’s progress is discussed during internal team reviews, with psychiatrists and other specialists assessing the treatment plan and making necessary adjustments. Clients have ongoing reviews with their team to ensure continuous progress.
4
We strive to offer support beyond our doors. Each TRC programme is designed for long term personal confidence. To best achieve wellbeing we encourage support through our network and community. Groups, mentors and support staff maintain a continuing service once treatment is reduced.
5
If a client requires more specialised or intensive care, TRC can smoothly refer them to trusted hospitals or advanced care providers. We ensure a coordinated transition, maintaining ongoing support for clients and their families throughout the process.
