Abeer AlHussein

I am a licensed psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. After graduating, I completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I received extensive training in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including OCD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder.

Following my fellowship, I gained hands-on experience working in outpatient clinics, specializing in trauma treatment, addiction and Borderline Personality Disorder cases. I further advanced my clinical skills by completing specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing, becoming a certified somatic experiencing practitioner.

I hold a license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, as well as a professional license from the U.S. licensing board, allowing me to provide psychotherapy in both countries while adhering to the highest professional standards.

I believe healing happens through relationships, with connection at the heart of growth and transformation. Grounded in evidence-based approaches, my work integrates the mind-body connection to create a safe space for deep processing and healing. I collaborate with clients to build a therapeutic relationship that fosters self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change.
