Annika Ancverina

As an Integrative Child and Adolescent counsellor, I work with a combination of creative and therapeutic knowledge. I focus on creating a non-judgmental, safe space and foster a therapeutic relationship that sets a fertile ground for the client’s expression and therapeutic self-discovery. 

Informed by holistic, psychodynamic, and humanistic theories, including Attachment based therapy, PACE, Gestalt, CBT, TA and Existential therapy my approach is adaptable to each individual’s needs. Drawing from personal experience as an artist and arts therapist, I believe in the transformative and healing potential of creative arts. I also like to apply mindfulness, breathwork and meditation as part of my work as I find it to be a powerful tool for relaxation and rebalancing.

Before joining TRC, I have worked with young people facing variety of challenges within charity and school settings across London. A large part of my clinical practice has been working for Dream Arts Westminster Charity helping 7-25 year olds going through depression, anxiety, bullying, loss, PTSD, relational trauma, eating disorders, family conflict, suicidal ideation, identity and body image issues.

I practice according to the ethical framework of the BACP Professional body, engaging in regular individual and peer supervision as well as being a member of Therapy Harley Street psychotherapist Barbara Godoy’s weekly CPD group.
I have a Fine Art degree from Central Saint Martins and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Child and Adolescent Counselling from IATE.

Outside TRC, I enjoy botanical ink making, yin yoga, meditation and refreshing walks in nature with my dog Hudson
