Dr Harriet Stewart 

I am an experienced senior child and adolescent psychiatrist and have been a consultant and clinical lead in the NHS for 17 years. I specialise in paediatric liaison psychiatry in the busy general hospital assessing and treating children with a variety of conditions.

I specialise in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents that require medical intervention. My training also includes psychotherapeutic and behavioral approaches to treatment. Areas of expertise include:

I trained at the University College/Royal Free Hospital in general psychiatry and then at Great Ormond Street Hospital in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I enjoy meeting and working with children and young people to help with the difficulties they may find as they move through childhood and adolescence.

I have an interest in the visual arts and creative writing and my first degree was in English Literature.

While the needs of the child are my first concern, I also enjoy working with parents as they navigate their way through the sometimes choppy waters of parenthood.
