Jude Ibrahim
Art Therapist, M.A., CCPA
The challenges and experiences we face in life can often be hard to put into words, leaving us feeling stuck, uncertain or overwhelmed. As an art therapist, I guide you through a combination of art making and open conversation, to help you explore and recognize your emotions, thoughts, and life patterns — both visually and verbally. Together, we’ll uncover new perspectives, build awareness, and find deeper understanding that you can carry with you. I also focus on incorporating your inner strengths, interests, and resources to support your process of change and help you achieve your goals.
I work with clients of all ages, from children to adults, with various psychosocial needs such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low sense of self-worth, grief, addiction, eating disorders, and learning disabilities.
My integrative approach blends humanistic, client-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and neuroscience frameworks. Beyond all approaches, I hold a deep commitment to tailoring my work to the client’s needs and creating a non-judgmental, culturally responsive, and collaborative therapeutic space where you can bring your full self into the process.
I graduated with an MA in Creative Arts Therapies, and hold professional memberships with the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Through my training and past work experiences, I had the privilege to collaborate with various populations within schools, non-profits, museums, and mental health clinics to offer art therapy services and wellness programs for students with special needs, refugees and newcomers, and individuals facing major life changes and complex trauma.
As a life-long learner, I strive for continuous professional and personal growth to ensure I bring quality approaches and techniques to the people I support and the communities I work with.
Whether it is your first time seeking therapy or re-inviting it into your life, I look forward to taking this step with you.
