Julia Ahrell

ADHD Coach and Mentor
ICF ACC, PCEC, PGCE, MA

With over 20 years global experience in education, I have coached, mentored and created bespoke educational programmes for children, teens and young adults with ADHD and other neurodiversities. I understand that trying to survive in a neurotypical world can be challenging.

Having ADHD teens in my own family, gives me first-hand experience of how important it is for families to communicate, and collectively work together to create positive change.

ADHD impacts each person differently. By working on the aspects that make us unique, we can develop strategies for emotional regulation, time management and wellbeing, and ultimately help us to thrive, rather than survive.

Our sessions are often more than just sitting and talking! We might, walk, draw or breathe, for example. Whichever approach we take that day, our sessions will be about moving you towards your goals in whatever format suits you.

My role as a coach has three main parts:
The first is championing you- when you have an unconditional advocate, amazing things can be achieved.
The second is working collaboratively – working as a partnership to tease out the right solutions for you.
And thirdly – challenge and stretch- helping you to step outside your comfort zone isn’t easy, but it is where the magic happens!

Our ADHD clinic, at TRC, strives to promote the well-being of an individual, giving the tools to help you to thrive.
